Looking for new co-organizer for seminars

Dear Epinowcast Community,

As my postdoc at Institut Pasteur comes to an end, this month will be my last as co-organizer of the Epinowcast seminars. I started co-organizing the seminars with Sam over two years ago. In that time, we have heard from a lot of great speakers and had plenty of interesting discussions. Our speakers included 13 women and 10 men, mostly from research institutes, universities, or government agencies based in the EU or US.

Professional/career development benefits of co-organizing the seminars have included: organizing skills (determining who will do what, when), communication skills (moderating discussion and asking questions), and networking. Time commitment is minimal. It includes attending the monthly, one-hour seminar, sending emails to possible speakers, coordinating with their schedule, posting information about the seminar (title, abstract, speaker’s bio) to the website, and advertising the seminar on social media and among your professional contacts.

Please let me or Sam know if you are interested in stepping up as a new co-organizer.

I look forward to staying connected (Bluesky, LinkedIn) and sharing more about my next professional adventure soon.

Kelly

Thanks so much for spending time on this @kcharniga2 I have really enjoyed working with you on it and being pushed to get a more representative/interesting speaker mix!

If anyone would like to help with this please do reach out.

Exciting news - we have two new co-organisers who will be announced at the next meeting. I am going to step back into a more support role. Hopefully, some good org changes coming soon.
